谷子(Setaria italica)显性雄性不育基因的发现

摘要:

1978年我们在“澳大利亚谷×吐鲁番谷”的杂交后代中,得到1份雄性不育材料,经7个遗传世代的研究发现,其不育株测交和回交,后代育性始终按1∶1分离,自交后代育性分离为3(不育)∶1(可育);其可育株育性不分离。它的不育性是受核内的显性雄性不育基因控制的。这是在谷子中的首次发现。它在理论研究、杂种优势利用和谷子育种中都有很高的价值。

Abstract:

In 1978,among descendants of“Australia millet x Tulufan millet”cross some male sterile plants were obtained.Through seven generationsof testcrossing or backcrossing to the recessive was conduc ted,segre-gation of male sterile and male fertile plants in a ratio of 1∶1 was ob-served.when the sterile plants were selfed a segregation of 3 male ste-rile:1 male fertile took place.The fertile plants always breed true.Thesterility discovered for the first time in millet is conditional by a domi-nant male-sterile gene in the nucleus. The gene is of great value in the study of heterosis and conventional breeding of millet as well as the theorectical aspects in plant genetics.
