Abstract:

1.A close relationship is existed between the proper water content of soil and the incre-ment of flowers and prevention of pod-shedding of soybeans.Number of pods borne on a single soybean plant as well as seed yield would decrease and pod-shedding rate would increaseas the plant suffered from drought during flowering and pod-bearing stage.The suffering isparticularly severe if drought occurs in late July when soybeans are on full-blooming-stage.Under such condition the growth and development of soybean pla
