Abstract: The seed protein extracts from 1,858 Chinese soybean cultivars wereanalyzed by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis in order to determine thedistribution of the alleles of the Ti(Tia,Tib,and Tic)and Sp1(Sp1b,Sp1a,and Sp1c)loci.About 99.5 percent of the soybean cultivars hadthe Tia allele.The Tib allele was discovered in ten cultivars.Only oneaccession was identified as having Tic.The Ti allele has not been disco-vered in soybean from China.The frequency for the Sp1b allele is about95.3 percent ...
