Abstract: Some biological and genetic studies on Lu Dao were undertaken in the period of1984—1987.Morphological characteristics of Lu Dao are more similar to two japonicanative varieties.The percentage of seed set of the hybrids between Lu Dao and thejaponica varieties was higher than that between of Lu Dao
