The Possibility of Ph Genes Existing Spontaneously in Common Wheat

Abstract: 50 common wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)from Japan were crossed with rye(Secale cereale L. cv Lanzhou). The meiotic observation of FI hybrids showed that Norin20, Sakyukomogi and Norin 9 had high chromosome pairing level in wheat-rye F1 hybrids. Their chromosome pairing levels as expressed by chiasmat
